A Birthday with Uncle Jeremy (title by Jotham)

For the first time in 6 years, Jotham had family here for his birthday. The only other time we were with family for Jotham's birthday was his first birthday when we still lived in BC. Uncle Jeremy came for a visit and it was over Jotham's birthday. Jotham went to school but got to open one gift before so wore his new Sonic shirt, when he got off the bus he ran inside to find a cute little sister holding 7 balloon's for him. We let him open the rest of his gifts and then went to to pool for the free swim. Then a Taco Time supper and next door for frozen yogurt dessert.
Jotham stayed home from youth and he and Uncle Jeremy built lego for the evening, while Amariah and I helped at youth for a little bit. Amariah helped me do some shopping for Jotham's party the next day, while all 3 boys (Jotham, Jeremy and Waylon) stayed home building lego. Sunday afternoon we had Jotham's birthday party. Jotham picked Dr.Suess for his cake and had a story time for one activity, Waylon read them "Oh the Places You'll Go". We also did a lego activity - they each got a mixel to build it was also their goodie bag. It was a fun party!
We grew pumpkins this fall, ours were pretty small so Waylon also picked up a couple bigger ones, and while I went out to Bible Study the rest of them carved pumpkins. Jotham even helped pull stuff out, he still doesn't like how it feels. Amariah helped too, she also thought she needed to wash her hands. Waylon and Jotham made a bunny with a carrot and then Waylon did a Hello Kitty one for Amariah.
We needed to bring Jeremy to the airport so decided to make a day of it. We kept Jotham home and all went together to the science center. It was lots of fun. Amariah got to watch her first movie at a theatre, Journey to the South Pacific, she loved seeing all the fish swimming around. She did pretty good keeping her glasses on the whole time too. There were only two other people there with us so it didn't matter that she got a bit loud with excitement a few times. Waylon and Jeremy also got to try the Gyro Gym - Waylon says it was fun. After we were done there we had supper at various locations and then dropped Jeremy off at the airport. It was fun having him here. Jotham loved having another person to build lego with and Amariah loved getting Uncle Jeremy to brush her teeth. She was also pretty excited that he went with Waylon to watch her swimming class.
Later that week Amariah and I had a breakfast date at Timmie's after dropping Waylon off at work before we went to Toddler Time at the library. We finally got a picture with all of us eating Jotham's birthday cake together. We also discovered that Amariah had impetigo, all because of a tiny cut from a freezie on her lip and it spread all over her poor face. She even ended up missing out on trick or treating because of it, she was feeling miserable and threw up while gagging on her antibiotic. Jotham went to school as a gorilla and in the evening was an elephant - Amariah was supposed to be one too.
