We've had a lot of fun this week spending lots of time outside and finding various forms of water to play in. I had wondered if there was a water park in town and after asking some moms in the nursery last Sunday discovered there was, so after nap time we headed out to find it. It's a small park, but so is Jotham, so there was plenty of water for him. When we first arrived he wanted to head over to the playground first, but as soon as he was in the water, he was content to play there. Other kids were playing there too (one we knew from church) and he joined them and borrowed some toys. As you can see, he wasn't afraid to go right into the water shooting up at him.
It's kind of hard to tell in these next two pictures, but he's just standing there being showered by the water.

As we were leaving Jotham fell and got his first scraped knee. He didn't even care, just got up and kept on going. It wasn't too bad, but still an important moment to document with a picture. It's mostly healed up already.
One evening this week Jotham and I were playing in backyard and he sat himself down on the soccer ball, which was the perfect photo op so I had to take it. He's just the cutest.
Here is Jotham having a little snack at his new to him table and chairs. Though, the chairs have been spending some time in the closet as someone keeps standing on them. Yesterday I took the chairs out so we could do some art, after we were done, Jotham brought the chairs over to the closet himself, Waylon figured Jotham knew it was best to just put away the temptation.
This week, Jotham's little bathtub got a hole in it - he really loved his little bathtub. I liked it too, it was an excellent way to save water rather than having to fill up a whole (or half) a tub. Jotham screamed the first night I gave him a bath in the big tub after showing him the hole in the little tub and explaining it was broken (which he repeated after me). But even with all his fun bath toys he didn't have any fun. He did this the next night too even though Waylon joined him in the tub, it still wasn't good enough. I had wanted to get him a bath pillow and while shopping also saw the bath mat, and its the same color his little tub so hoped the two pieces (along with a couple new toys), would do the trick. And they sure did. Jotham doesn't care about the pillow at all, but loves to sit on the mat. The first night he had to keep his whole body on the mat, but the last couple days he's been moving his legs off of it. Its been great. So here he is the first night enjoying is new bathtub (which is what I told him the mat was).
Yesterday we wanted to find the "beach". Its the Saskpower Boundary Dam. Its nice enough, not a lot of sand but it'll work. Next time we'll plan for a longer trip, we actually went to the wrong dam first, we went to Rafferty and after driving around realized this was not the right place, so texted one of Waylon's youth who directed us to the correct place. Jotham loved the water and would have gladly stayed longer than we did. He even fell in a couple times, and each time would come up laughing.

I think that's about all. I may post again before or trip, but then again, I might not. If we haven't already made plans with you and you want to visit while we're in BC let us know. See you soon....
After drying off and getting changed, we did go over to the playground for a while.

While we've had some beautiful sunny weather this week, we've also had a lot of thunder storms. We had a huge one while we were looking at a potential house to rent for the rest of our time here. We still haven't decided where we'll go, we have a couple options, one in town and one out of town. We'll hopefully figure things out soon, we need to be out the end of July, there is now a sold sign in front of our house.
Waylon preached his first Sunday sermon today (he did one at a Saturday service a while back). He did an excellent job, we'll let you know if they put it on the church website, you never know which ones go up there.
Here are Jotham and Waylon with Waylon's father's day gifts, a card and a bag. Next year we'll put something in the bag.
Our happy little family.
