Video Over-load

The rest of July continued to be busy but we did manage to take some time off and get a bit of a break. Amariah kept being cute so there are a bunch of video's for you to enjoy. First up bug squishing, she took her shoe off and started squishing the bugs on the house, she's has also just stomped on them barefoot on the deck, either way it's cute.

Welcoming Daddy home from work.

Waylon had a couple days of work in between family leaving and having vacation time, so we entertained ourselves with the pancake breakfast at the park, which of course includes sitting in the firetruck. We also checked out the ambulance. Proof that our garden is actually growing, apparently I only kill indoor plants. Jotham was lifting Amariah to help her see out the window, the neighbour had a dog out there.

A fun crazy car ride.

Friends invited us to camp in their backyard with them. We thought this would be a good way to see if we could actually camp with Amariah, her 2am crying led us to decide probably not if we want other campers to like us. Maybe next year. Other than that the kids had fun sleeping in the tent. We started our time off hanging out with our friends again in the evening and then the next morning with a swim at the park.
Amariah helping Daddy build a Lego set

Waylon had a few projects on the go while he was off, cleaning up some of the trees that got taken out by storms last summer (they were still standing, not anymore). He made a couple chairs for the kids too.  Lego is always being built around here, this time Amariah got to help. Jotham was in a couple classes at the Family Centre, he made a delicious cupcake that he shared with us. Amariah loves putting her "eyes" on by herself, and was doing some serious colouring one morning.
We took one day to get out of town (and went all of less than an h\]our a way), to a heated outdoor pool. It was lots of fun, Amariah loved jumping in and would make sure I was ready to catch her each time. (Though in this video she was somewhat distracted by the Hello Kitty tube beside her.)

The kids got to try the first garden strawberry, we each had a little bite of it. Amariah and her doll needed to wear hats while she was wearing her. Jotham and Waylon ventured of to Brickspo a lego show in Moose Jaw. Maybe next year we'll all go. They had a lot of fun, and Amariah and I had our own fun at home.
The boys even found more things they hadn't seen last time they went to the WDM, and got to go on a train ride and sit in a snowbird. Meanwhile Amariah was trying to blow the dandelions but ended up licking them instead.
The same day also happened to be Dog River Days in Rouleau, they had finished filming the Corner Gas movie that week. So the boys stopped in on the drive home and got to see everything all set up and go in the store and check everything out. There was also a booth set up to sing the theme song which will be part of the credits, so its possible we'll find them on there.
We took another day to go out to our friends acreage. It was such a fun day relaxing and hanging out with them. Amariah loved eating fresh peas from the garden and going down the slide off their deck. Her and Grace had lots of fun playing together, and we even remembered to get a few pictures of them and their sillyness. They were riding ponies that are much too small for them - super cute though. Amariah continued her cuteness at home being a little elephant (video below).  Jotham has been such a great big brother and has started helping her Amariah brush her teeth.
Little Elephant

Jotham made a plate in his art class at the Family Centre, it has a cheetah on it. One afternoon we took out the little tent and had some reading time, it was a nice way to stay in the shade and enjoy outside.
Ooops!

Waylon's main project while he was off was working on our deck. I don't have a lot of pictures of it, but this show's some of how it was before and what it'll be like when it's done. He recruited Jotham to help him with it one evening too. There's still lots to do but he got a lot done and it looks great. We also enjoyed some veggies from our own garden.
So that was what we were up to in July...
