Although Amariah wasn't the best traveler, we still made it to our destination and so she of course got her birthday party. The day started with some birthday cuddles in bed, and making sure Daddy woke up for her special day. She opened a couple presents since Jotham was very excited to give her what he had picked out, her own my little pony named Twilight Sparkle.
The four of us went out to ABC for lunch, the same restaurant we took Jotham to on his first birthday. It was pretty fun that we could do that with her too.
Amariah enjoyed her baby plate and after
some convincing her birthday dessert.
After a nap (a short one) we had some fun with the Klix girls and then we got things packed up to head to the park. With some help from Grandma and Grandpa we got everything set up. Daddy arranged the cupcakes in a cute little butterfly and we had her #1 cake to go with it (free from Thrifty's for first birthday's!) . Amariah wasn't sure what all the fuss was about having to sit in the chair while wearing a hat and people were singing to her.
She did enjoy the cupcake when she figured out what it was all about.
We are so thankful that our families were able to come out and celebrate with us together, along with some of our friends. Thanks so much for making Amariah's first birthday so special!
It was great to have another chance for the bigger cousins and friends to hang out one more time.
They also had some fun on the playground, while the grown ups chatted.
By now Amariah had figured out opening gifts and was a pro! Thanks so much for loving her. (Waylon even managed to fit it all in the car).
We finally got the Froese's all together for a picture, sweaty hats and all. Grandpa came over for the party too, so nice to see him. Amariah got a couple extra cuddles from her Aunties.
After cleaning up we headed back for one last night at Grandma and Grandpa's. Jotham was super excited to wear his new jammies that night - he loves them. After getting the kids in bed I finally had a chance to eat some birthday cake since we weren't taking that with us. And of course Amariah's first time sleeping as a 1 year old!
We had such a great day celebrating our bringer of good news. We love you baby girl...
