I'm a Pretty Pony *reprise*

After a good night's sleep we said our goodbyes (including a morning story with Grandpa before work) and then headed off. The first stretch of driving was by far the worst for Amariah, we think it was driving up into the mountains  bugging her ears combined with the growing teeth. We made it to our first stop in Merrit and while Amariah ate, Jotham and Daddy went for a walk and found some fun little teepee's. Our next stop was the Enchanted Forest.

It was nice to get out and go for a walk in the woods and see some fun things. Jotham loved looking at everything and reading the stories that went along with what we saw. Feeding the ducks was pretty fun too.
We stayed in Revelstoke and had a great time going over to the leisure center for a swim after a long day of driving (and screaming). The next morning we were on our way to visit friends in Airdrie. We stopped first at Build-a-Bear where kids got to pick what they wanted. Amariah found the bunny and had no intentions of letting anyone take it away from her. And Jotham loved the leopard who now wears a Star Wars shirt and pants. (They were the kids birthday gifts from us this year, jotham's just a bit early). We had a great time with Mark and Christina and their boys, so much so that we didn't remember to take pictures. It was so good to catch up and visit, and play group ipad games. The next morning they took us out for a delicious breakfast and then we headed off to Swift, with a little park break along the way to stretch out.
We finally made it back home on the 25th. It was much better having shorter days of driving then on the way out. Amariah did a great job traveling the last three days, much less singing of a certain pony song to keep her happy. Amariah happily reacquainted her self with her toys while Jotham dreamed of being back on the mountains in BC, he says the hike up Teapot was his favourite.
I took a few quick pictures the next day for Amariah's "official" 12 month pictures with monkey and caterpillar. Her stats at 12 months: 20lbs 5oz, 29.5 inches. She loves to eat avocado, cream cheese on nutrios, and frozen blueberries. And for the final day of our vacation Waylon fixed our shower which decided to leak through the floor to our kitchen, which was on our 12th anniversary. We picked up some coldstone to celebrate. All in all it was a pretty great vacation...
