I'm a Pretty Pony (clippety-clop, clippety-clop)

Finally have a moment to start sharing about our trip, first up the drive from Bismarck to BC. I honestly have no clue where were in these first pictures. There was a rest stop and Amariah needed a break and since it also looked pretty we stopped. Our next stop was Billings, MT where we got a lost and then finally found a place to eat. We decided to keep going after supper but soon realized Amariah didn't like that idea at all. She screamed pretty much the whole time for almost an hour. And wasn't so thrilled with me for changing her diaper on the side of the road but at least she'd had a reason for some of the screaming. Though that didn't stop her and she continued her noise until we found an Inn (motel) in Big Timber, MT. Apparently we should have stayed in Billings since everywhere west was filling up because of a motorbike rally. Amariah was finally happy once she was out of the car. And both kids were super cute sleeping.
Since we knew how much Amariah loved being in the car, we set out earlier the next morning in hopes of getting her to have more naps in the car. It worked better but she screamed while driving through Missoula searching for the mall. We found it, and a Red Robin where Waylon enjoyed a Wolverine burger. He happened to be wearing the appropriate shirt too. After wandering the mall for a couple hours we continued on to Coeur d'Alene ID, we'd heard they had a great beach so we headed there. We were super tired, but took the kids to amazing park they had and then when swimming for a bit. This was Amariah's official first swimming in a lake or any beach. She wasn't so sure about the waves but loved being in the water.
We successfully tired out both kids and had a quiet drive the rest of the way to Spokane, WA where we found a hotel. Amariah discovered a cute baby in the mirror while we were there who she thought needed some kisses. We went for a late walk across Canada Island and to the huge mall. It was almost closing so we didn't really stay long. We stopped by the Radio Flyer wagon, as you can see from Jotham beside it's tire, it was very big. And a fun slide.
The next morning we headed out and made it to Leavenworth, WA. We'd been there with Jotham when he was about 10 months so wanted to see it with him again. We had fun wandering the shops and had a good lunch while we were there. Waylon was on the hunt for stroopwaffels, we saw someone eating them and I suggested he ask where they got them but he didn't and we never found them. And then it was time to head to the border.
Amariah had been doing good, so we skipped stopping in Everette but soon realized that was a bad idea. We ended up stopping in Mt.Vernon for supper and a stretch. And then she cried and screamed all the way to the border. But we made it across (the above picture is us on the Canadian side and the American side across the ditch), and then headed to my parents. Amariah was so happy to be out of her seat and raced up and down the hallway (crawling of course). I also discovered her eighth tooth when we were there, so perhaps it wasn't just the drive that she didn't like.
