Playing Catch Up: Easter

This year I had a super cute little helper when it was time to make paska, she didn't do too much to help but she at least kept me company (though she was supposed to be napping). 

 Decorating our eggs, we all got in on it.

Our coloured eggs, Jotham made a family of eggs for us, you can't tell in the picture but some of them have hair and faces. We also have some animal friends, a bunny by Jotham and Daddy made a sheep and a lion. Easter Sunday we all got up for breakfast and were excited to eat some of our delicious paska (Amariah didn't have any yet but we still have some in the freezer so she may try it soon).

 All dressed up! Amariah didn't want to sit still so 

being on her pony was a great way to get some pictures.

 Daddy had changed already but here's the rest of us. Daddy even got Amariah dressed that morning (though I did pick the outfit). Jotham had lots of fun having a little Easter egg hunt with some treats Grandma had gotten us before she left.  

 After Amariah was up from her nap she got in on it too. 

And by the evening she was all tuckered out from an exciting day. 

On Easter Monday we had friends over for lunch. We successfully made our first turkey and stuffing. It took a little longer to cook than the handy little chart said it would, but it all tasted great when it was ready. We apparently aren't very good at taking pictures when are friends are over and the only turkey picture I have it wasn't cooked yet. But we had a great time hanging out, eating and seeing the kids have fun together. The kids had a little basket hunt in the basement since there was way too much snow to try it outside, it didn't take them long to find their treats but they were all excited about it. We're thankful to have friends join us when we don't have family to spend these times with.
