Jotham loves getting to cuddle with Amariah. She usually likes it, but wasn't so sure about being in his bed. She also had her first happy bath, and some more cuddles with Daddy.
Jotham had his first school event on his second full day of school. His school has a breakfast program that is free for any student. They had a "walk to breakfast", Amariah and I went and walked with them but Jotham wouldn't let us get too close since he's a big kid now. Jotham also got to take the bus home from school that day. His teacher rode the bus with them to help them learn how to get off the bus and cross the road. He gets dropped off right at our house and now the driver does the route in the opposite order so he doesn't even need to cross the road. It's great. We also went to family camp at Kenosee with our church. Jotham and Daddy had lots of fun adventures together including canoeing. Amariah spent most of her time with me since she was just 2 1/2 weeks old.
Cuddles with Daddy. Mommy decided to play dress up one day (recognize that dress Mom?). Amariah was hungry after her bath so Daddy thought it'd be funny to get her to latch on his nose. There's a cute video to go with that too. Both kids hanging out on the playmat.
Jotham picked out a head band and bow for Amariah to wear and asked me to take their picture to show daddy. Our adored little girl. Amariah wore her dress Daddy got her, she wasn't so impressed.
The ladies at church had a baby shower for Amariah. I had no idea that the theme for decorations was going to be zebra's and pink, but the outfit I picked for her to wear matched perfectly. It was the perfect opportunity to have a mini photo shoot. I don't have pictures of the shower but a friend took some and she just had her own baby two days after the shower, so I'll just wait for the pictures since I know just how busy she is.
Jotham got to take the bus in the morning. The stop is only 3 doors down which is great. And the bus driver said when it gets cold he can pick up at our house. So now Jotham takes the bus to and from school, seems kinda strange not getting to talk to his teacher at all or see him at school.
Friday the 21st was Waylon's birthday, as well as Amariah's one month birthday. But it was made an extra special day when Jotham invited Jesus into his heart during supper that day! (In the first picture Jotham is making a heart with his fingers.) Jotham had suggested that we should make Waylon a cake with a Bible on it since his birthday was on a youth night, guess it would have been very fitting if we did.
One Month Old
According to the wii fit Amariah is 4.4 kg, which is 9 lbs 14.7 oz. She's grown out of most of her newborn size clothes, and the 3 month size sleepers won't last much longer. Amariah has been doing a 5-7 hour stretch of sleep at night which has been great. Who knows if it'll last but we'll enjoy it while we can. She continues to have more alert times of the day, she loves looking around at her surroundings. I think she may have smiled at me on her one month birthday. It seemed intentional, but who know's for sure.
