Sunny Days

We've been out enjoying the weather on days when its not storming or crazy windy and we don't have any humidity warnings.  On Canada Day we went out to Bienfait for the parade and then walked over to the train thats at the museum. We then headed over to the park by our place for some free hot-dogs, cotton candy, snow cones and the pool. It was a fun day, I think we had some friends over for supper that day too.
Jotham started swimming lessons, we went every morning for two weeks. One evening we went to the Co-op kids carnival where they had games and bounce houses set up and we had supper too. Besides supper everything is free, Jotham played games and got tickets that he got to chose prizes with. He's most excited about his eye patch, now he's a real pirate.  They had camera's from TSN there so Jotham and Waylon joined the crowd to cheer for Estevan, it was for getting votes to win money and to host a TSN broadcast, and we did win that this week. One afternoon Jotham was playing in the playroom and apparently was tired since I found him asleep on the floor. We were woken up one morning with a phone call from the Co-op after the fair to find out that Jotham had won a prize, he got his very on Rock Band 2 set, too bad it was for playstation and not the Wii. One evening we went for a walk, Jotham was happy but for some reason didn't want to be in a picture so he's pouting about it.
The last day of swimming lessons. Jotham had lots of fun during the two weeks of swimming, he gets to do this level again since he still won't put his face in the water, not for the required 3 seconds at least. We went out to the play park pool one weekend. The water was yellow/brown from a reaction with the chlorine and the extra minerals in the water this year from the flooding. It looks gross but is safe (the water is back to normal now). Jotham was really unsure about playing in the water, but he was fine after a few minutes.
We had supper with our friends Jakob and Lana and their little boy Jordan and then went out for a walk. It was the first time Lana and I had been to the skate park so we took pictures, that and they're moving in a couple weeks so we had to have evidence of us hanging out.  We took Jotham's Rock Band game to Walmart and then spent some of the money they gave us for it on some new things for him. He got a Little Einstein's dvd, Hungry Hippo's,  Lite Brite, Spiralgraph,  6 kinds of goldfish and bubble bath. And we still have more to spend if we find something good. We figure this stuff is better for him than Rock Band. though Waylon would still like to have it. When the girls came over we played with water inside, it was way too hot and humid to be outside so we stayed busy inside and enjoyed the air conditioning.
This morning Jotham and I went to the park for the Pajama Pancake breakfast. He didn't wear pajama's this time, but we did enjoy some pancakes with sprinkles and chocolate chips. He played in the pool and at the park and then we checked out the fire truck. The tigger picture is from last year when he was on the truck.  When we got home he was cold since he wore his swim stuff home so he needed his housecoat to warm up.
So that's what we've been up to...
