March ~ Part 3

Now where were we.. right, after leaving Mission we had a chance for a short visit with Edolbina, and as you can see I remembered to take pictures. Jotham didn't want to smile so we had a picture without him, then he wanted to sit with us again and smile, he wasn't so thrilled about being kissed though. It was so good to see Edol and visit for a bit, I also enjoyed looking at her wedding pictures.
Tuesday night we left Jotham and Lynnea with Grandma and Grandpa for supper while we went out with Jon and Ang to Chillies. We'd never been before but we really liked it, and it was nice to go out without the kids - they had fun with out us.  Wednesday was a write-off for me, since I had a migraine and spent most of the day sleeping, but Jotham and Lynnea had play time in the morning and Waylon taught Jotham how to play crokinole in the afternoon. Waylon went to a movie in the evening after I was feeling better, he was able to use a really old free pass from when we lived out here (there), it was nice that it still worked.

On Thursday Grandma joined us for a trip out to Richmond to visit Great-Grandpa Friesen. It was good to see him and we were glad he was back at home and getting better. I forgot to take a picture of Jotham and Grandpa Friesen, though we did see some pictures of us on his fridge and Jotham thought daddy looked funny.

When we got back Waylon and I packed a bag and headed out to Harrison on our own. Yes this was the first time we both have left Jotham overnight, Waylon's left him with me many times, but I hadn't even left Jotham with Waylon before - well, in the playroom for a camp out or two but thats it. While we've been to Harrison other times we've never stayed in the Hot Springs Resort, it was so nice, the pools were great and refreshing. We were told Jotham was fine, he wanted me in the morning when he woke up and Grandma told him I wasn't there so he told her to go away so he could sleep. He's not a morning person, he gets that from both of us.
When we arrived home the next morning Jotham didn't want to give us hugs or anything, he was too busy watching a show with Grandma. He was excited to see the fun things we brought him home - a couple shirts (from the sale rack - a pirate moose and a hatching moose), and a big horned sheep to hang on the wall. That afternoon Jotham helped Grandma make an apple pie, he'd been wanting to make one with her after she told him they could over the phone one day, so he was excited to make it. The bottom cup is the one Jotham gave Grandpa, he tried it out with his coffee and pie.
That evening we headed out to visit Lindsay and Wesley's, both Waylon and Wesley weren't feeling the best but we still had fun hanging out, looking at wedding and traveling pictures and chatting. We talked about games but never actually got around to playing one.  It was so nice to see them and see their new place, and though there are no pictures from this visit there are from the next one.

Until next time...
