Another First

Jotham and Waylon decided to build a birdhouse, so last Thursday they went to hunt down some wood. They ended up getting some cutting boards from the dollar store. On Saturday morning Jotham was ready to work on his project so he woke Daddy up to get him to help. They spent the morning drilling and measuring, and putting in screws to build the birdhouse. In the afternoon they painted it, Jotham had been saying he wanted it green, so green it is. So far its just hanging in our living room, but once we can open the doors to the deck we'll put it outside, the doors are frozen shut right now. Jotham took that picture of Waylon, and in the last picture Waylon was helping Jotham put his ear lobe print on the birdhouse. Waylon thought they should each put a fingerprint on it, but Jotham chose his ear.

 Jotham is taking the long way to our car so he can walk through as much snow as possible.

Sunday afternoon we decided to go play outside. I'm very glad we had the cover on the sled because it was much colder than we expected. I think it was -20 and that was not including the wind.  We warmed up with hot chocolate when we got inside. 

Jotham had his first trip to the dentist yesterday, because he also got his first chipped tooth. He was dancing around the room with another friend, and he fell down and she was getting up and his chin hit her head which resulted in him chipping a tooth up top and cutting the bottom gums. There was a lot of blood and he was in a lot of pain. The first picture shows his bottom teeth while they were still all bloody.

 And the chipped tooth, its the one next to his front teeth on the left. 

Waylon took him to the dentist when he was home from work (I still had some kids here), and the dentist said everything would be fine, they wanted to check to make sure though. Jotham's doing much better now. He had a few smoothies last night since any time he tried to eat it hurt too much, but today he could eat much better.
