Growing...

Jotham had his monthly doctor's appointment today, and he's continuing to grow. He is now 18lbs 2oz. and is 2'2". He's just under the 50th percentile for both weight and height, and he's been sticking to that same curve so that's good. Jotham has been trying so hard to crawl and get around but can't quite figure out how to get his knees under him. He's really good at push-ups though. But gets frustrated that he can't get what he wants, which will also encourage him to keep trying. He's been a bit fussier lately and holding onto his gums a lot, so we're thinking there may be some teeth on the way. Though they seem to be taking their time getting here, which I'm ok with. Jotham has been doing alright with eating. He loves to watch us eat and will start making chewing motions with his lips when we're eating, its really cute. We tried getting a video but then the camera distracted him. He never seemed to like the rice cereal so I tried the oatmeal cereal tonight and he did much better. So we'll see how it goes, you just never know :)

This is Jotham, so proud for putting his
raspberry soother in all by himself.

Jotham fell asleep on our way to lunch on Sunday, and he just looked cute with his hat pulled down and holding on to his raspberry :)

Yesterday we ventured out to Richmond to get our passports and to visit Grandpa Friesen (which would be Jotham's great-grandpa). And in case you were wondering, there was no line-up for passports at all. We got right in to the pre-screen and as soon as that was done our number was up to go the the next person. After talking with her, she needed about 15 minutes to get things done which was perfect cause I could feed Jotham then, and then we got our stuff back and had lots of time to visit Grandpa. Oh ya, and we should have our passports by the middle of May, so then we can galavant all over the world. That's all for today. Jotham will be 6 months in two days, so maybe I'll put up some more pics then.
