We had a pretty busy Easter weekend. On Friday, Jotham, Waylon and I headed out to Coquitlam to the Babies R Us and Baby's World. We were stroller and highchair shopping. We didn't buy either, but we did look around and get some ideas of what we wanted. We tried out a horse, which Jotham loved, and though it would be fun to have, it's not something we need. We did however buy Jotham some blue Baby Banz as he is modeling so nicely for us in the picture.
On Saturday afternoon we went out to Sardis to Jon and Ang's. We hung out and made Vereniki (well, Mom, Ang and Bev did- though I did grate some cheese, I was feeding Jotham and trying to convince him he really was tired, but he didn't believe me). Jotham also tried out the excersaucer/walker thing and loved it, but I don't have pictures from that day, however there are some later at our house. We had fun adventures actually cooking the food. The stove stopped working, so we ended up using a camp stove to boil the vereniki. Hopefully it works again, cause that's no fun for Jon and Ang to be without a stove, or to have to get a new one. The food was yummy once it was finally done. And Mom made too many so we got to take some home. I should've eaten more farmers brownies though, they were sure yummy.
On Sunday after church we went to Sears cause they had a sale and they had the highchair we wanted. And it matches Myra's first car seat and her playpen and stroller. We haven't opened it up yet, but we will soon. We then headed out to Mission to Waylon's parents place. Jotham played some playstation with Waylon and Uncle Jeremy. And then he had his first easter egg hunt. Though he didn't get any eggs, but he did get a cute outfit and teether and a bucket and shovel.
Today we went out to Harrison Hot Springs. We took Jotham for his first swim in the pool. He loved it. It was nice having the warm water and it was quiet while we were there so that was great. He loved being pulled in the water and discovered the joy of splashing. We'll see if he remembers it when he has a bath.
After swimming we went for a walk around Harrison. Jotham fell asleep almost right away, he was all comfy in our wrap carrier. We also looked in some shops and got Jotham a cute little shirt which you can see him showing off in the next pictures. Jotham ended up sleeping for 2 hours, which is a long nap for him. And we went for 4 hours between eating, which is not something he does during the day. But we was perfectly content when he woke up, guess the warm water helped him sleep longer.
Today is also Jotham's 5 Month birthday. At his doctor's appointment last week he was 16lbs 15.6oz. He grew .4 inches and is now 25.6 inches tall and his head has now made it to almost the 10th percentile (he was previously in the 3rd). I'm glad he has a small head though, much better proportioned :-). Here is Jotham playing in his borrowed excersaucer and jolly jumper, thanks baby Froese and Josiah for sharing your toys with us. Jotham wasn't sure what to think of the jolly jumper but I'm sure he'll figure it out. That's all for today. We had a busy but fun weekend. We're looking forward to a lazy Tuesday.
