Jotham Mattias was born on October 24th at 6:17pm. He weighed 6lbs. 15.7oz. Jotham arrived a week and a day early and only an hour after we arrived at the hospital. Only my mom and dad had any idea Jotham might be born that day, because I had been with my mom before getting Waylon to come home early from work. So it was great fun phoning our family and friends and surprising them with the news.
We found the name Jotham a few years ago in a book about all the men of the Bible. We loved the meaning which is "God is perfect" or "God has made complete". Mattias means "Gift of God" and is also a form of Matthew which is Waylon's middle name. Jotham is definitely our perfect gift from God.
